DPO Agenda
Introduction
The C-DPO Professionalism Agenda extends from the C-DPO qualification based on experience and is intended for data protection professionals who can demonstrate extensive experience working as a DPO. There are four tiers that can be achieved:
Provisional
To be awarded the C-DPO Provisional status, candidates must have passed the Certified Data Protection Officer (C-DPO) exam within the previous three years. C-DPO exams must be renewed every three years.
Officer
To be awarded the Certified Data Protection Officer status for the first time, candidates must have passed the C-DPO exam within the previous 3 years and provide evidence of 3 years of DPO work experience and 50 CPD (Continuing Professional Development) learning hours.
When renewing your Officer status, candidates must have passed the C-DPO exam within the previous 3 years and provide evidence of 3 years of DPO work experience and 100 CPD learning hours.
Expert
To be awarded the C-DPO Expert status, candidates must have passed the C-DPO Expert exam within the previous 3 years and provide evidence of 4 years of DPO work experience and 200 CPD learning hours over the past 3 years.
Master
To be awarded the C-DPO Master status, candidates must have passed the C-DPO Master exam within the previous 3 years and provide evidence of 6 years of DPO work experience and 300 CPD learning hours over the past 3 years.
